Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Sarno knew from a young age she would always call California home. She completed her UCLA undergraduate studies with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, and went on to attend the UCLA School of Dentistry for her DDS. It was in dental school where she met her husband; who is now an endodontist. After graduating, Dr. Sarno completed an advanced education program in General Dentistry residency at the UCLA Venice Dental Clinic. (Go Bruins!) She enjoyed her studies, and continues to participate in continuing education on a frequent basis.
Dr. Sarno always had a passion for the arts and sciences, and she found that dentistry was the perfect field for her to bring them together. On top of that, the ability to run her own business and spend time building relationships with patients excited her, and still does! You could say she’s found the sweet spot in her career at Foothill Modern Dental. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, and the ability it has to change someone’s life. She enjoys transformative procedures but also holds great respect for preventive dentistry and the great influence it has over long-term oral health.
When she’s not at the office, you can find Dr. Sarno playing golf with her husband, a sport she recently picked up during the pandemic. She also runs marathons–5 total so far! She enjoys digital and film photography, as well as graphic design (her husband says she is drawn to anything aesthetically pleasing). She also enjoys board games, hiking, going to local breweries, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

When Dr. Sarno started thinking about her own practice, she thought about what might help her relax when going to a health care appointment. The Foothill office is designed with a fresh aesthetic and her patients in mind. The result is a clean, modern space designed for a peaceful experience. There are beverages available and we keep blankets and headphones on hand as well as Netflix and iPads in each of our procedure rooms. At the center of our philosophy is patient experience, and we enjoy seeing and hearing about your experiences in our office!
Our entire team finds inspiration and motivation to improve on their skills through continuing education and technology training. Our office offers same-day crown appointments by using CEREC technology that skips over the mess or having a temporary! We also use iTero scanning technology to take digital impressions. Again, no messy gunk and waiting for molds to dry! Our digital x-ray system makes getting images of your teeth simple. No changing rooms or putting on a gown; just simple, straightforward imaging with high-precision pictures for highly accurate recommendations and treatment planning.
